The program operates from September to June, with specific start up and closing dates determined each year. The program runs from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. for the morning group and from 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. for the afternoon group. HOLIDAYSThe Head Start is closed for the following statutory holidays:* Labour Day * Thanksgiving Day * Remembrance Day * Christmas Day * Boxing Day * New Year’s Day * Good Friday * Easter Monday * Victoria Day The program is also closed to the children for these additional days: * March Break (same as Ottawa-Carleton District School Board) * The two weeks around Christmas and New Year’s (same as Ottawa-Carleton District School Board) * National Aboriginal Day * July and August * Any days where the weather is unsafe to drive in * Three additional Professional Development (PD) days throughout the year. |
