Police Record Checks
It is the policy of the Ottawa Inuit Children’s Centre that all staff have a police record check done every 2 years.

Volunteers that have direct contact with the children must have police record checks conducted. All Board of Director members must also complete a police record check.

If an individual has a positive record, he/she can go through an internal review process. During this process, the nature, severity and date of the criminal record will form the basis for the decision about participation. Confidentiality is ensured.
