Emergency Procedures
All staff is trained in infant/child CPR and First Aid.  If a child is injured while attending the program proper procedures will be followed.  If a child requires medical attention, 911 will be called, or the child will be taken to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).  If a child is taken to the CHEO, it is helpful for the Head Start to have the child’s Ontario Health Card Number on record.

All serious occurrences as defined by the Ministry of Community, Family and Children’s Services will follow the policies outlined in the Head Start Policy and Procedure Manual. For a copy of the procedures please speak to the Family & Community Development Coordinator.
