We recently celebrated the grand opening of the Tumiralaat Child Care Centre and several media sources were there to capture the event and shine a spotlight on what we're doing here and the importance of the Child Care Centre and the Ottawa Inuit Childrens Centre.

A child care centre catering to the largest urban Inuit population outside of Iqaluit opened Friday in Ottawa.

The Ottawa Inuit Children's Centre, located in Vanier, is the first of its kind in Canada. Youngsters can practice throat singing or other aspects of their culture.
